NRA Basic Rifle Course $125
This is an 8-hour course that includes in classroom discussion and hands on instruction on the range. This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting. The instruction includes classroom and range time learning to shoot lever action, bolt action and semi-automatic rifles. Students will learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules. Students will shoot the rifles from a bench rest, as well as from, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions. Students will learn how to clean and properly maintain the rifle. Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure and a Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet. Students will take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and upon successful completion, receive a course completion certificate.

Please do not bring any firearms or ammunition to this class.
