NRA Basic Shotgun Course

NRA Basic Shotgun Course                            $150

This course includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot pump action, hinge action and semi-automatic shotguns at moving targets. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; shotgun parts and operation; shotgun shell components; shotgun shell malfunctions; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting at straight away and angled targets; cleaning; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Shotgun Shooting Student Examination, and receive a course completion certificate.

• Pump Action, Hinge Action (Over and Under, Side by Side) and Semi-automatic Shotguns
• Clay Targets (25)
• Shotgun Shells (25)
• Eye and ear protection available

Please do not bring any firearms or ammunition to this class.

The goal is to get you comfortable with any style of shotgun and allow you to make an informed decision as to which style is right for you.
